Privacy Policy

WrapParty is a gift exchange and wishlist app built to help you coordinate gift-giving with family and friends. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain English — no legalese.

It applies to the WrapParty iOS app and the website at wrapparty.app.

We collect only the information we need to make WrapParty work for you:

• Account info. Your name and email address, used to create your account and sign you in.
• Wishlist items. Product names, URLs, images, and prices that you add to your wishlists.
• Sizes and favorite stores. Clothing sizes and preferred stores you choose to share with your friends.
• Gift claims. Which items you’ve claimed to gift to others, so we can hide them from the recipient.
• Events and groups. The gift exchanges and Bring & Share lists you create or join.
• Friend connections. The friendships you make with other WrapParty users.

We also automatically receive basic technical information (device type, app version, crash diagnostics) from Apple when you use the app, which helps us keep things working.

Your data powers the app. Specifically, we use it to:

• Run the core features — wishlists, exchanges, groups, and friend connections.
• Show the right content to the right people (e.g. hiding a claimed gift from the person receiving it).
• Send in-app notifications about upcoming birthdays, new claims, and friend activity.
• Keep WrapParty secure, fix bugs, and respond to your support questions.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use it to train AI models.

We do not sell your data. We only share data with the infrastructure providers that run the app on our behalf:

• Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication.
• Cloudflare provides DNS and content delivery for our website.

These providers are bound by their own data protection terms and only process your information as needed to keep WrapParty running.

Inside the app, data is shared only with the people you choose: the friends you add can see your wishlist, and members of a gift exchange can see the shared list. You’re always in control of those connections.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our production systems and from our backups on a rolling schedule. Limited, non-identifying information (for example, aggregate usage stats) may be kept to help us understand how the app is used.

You can at any time:

• View, edit, or delete individual wishlist items, events, and friends from within the app.
• Update your name, email, and other account details from the app settings.
• Request deletion of your entire account and all associated data by emailing us at hello@wrapparty.app.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR (European Union / UK) or CCPA (California). We honor requests from anyone under those laws — just send us an email.

WrapParty is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Adults can manage gift lists for family members (including kids) from their own accounts — those lists live under the adult’s account, not the child’s.

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Your continued use of WrapParty after a change means you accept the updated policy.
